How far is Raft in Georgia from Tbilisi?
We are at Zemo Amirni near Pasanauri, in the White Aragvi gorge, about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive north of Tbilisi on the main Kazbegi highway. An easy day trip from the city.
Do I need rafting experience?
None at all. Most of our guests are first-timers. Certified guides give a full safety briefing before you launch, and we have gentle tourist-friendly routes as well as extreme ones for thrill-seekers.
What is the minimum age?
Children can raft from age 5 with a parent, younger than most camps allow, and we carry properly sized life jackets and helmets for kids.
What languages do your guides speak?
English, Russian, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch, so international visitors are fully looked after on the water.
Is equipment included?
Yes. Life jacket, helmet, paddle, and a wetsuit when needed are all provided. Just bring a change of clothes and shoes that can get wet.
How long are the rafting routes?
We run two routes on the White Aragvi: the half-day tour covers 6 km of river, and the full-day trip runs 14 km with much more time on the water and a longer feast at the camp afterwards. Both start with a full safety briefing on land.
What should I bring and wear?
A swimsuit or sports clothes you do not mind getting wet, shoes that can stay on your feet in water, a towel, and a change of dry clothes for afterwards. Sunscreen is a good idea in summer. Everything technical, from life jacket to wetsuit, is on us.
Can we eat after rafting?
Yes, and you should. Our riverside camp serves fresh khinkali and mtsvadi off the maqali grill, with a picnic area too. For many guests the feast is half the fun.
Do you pick up from Tbilisi?
We do not run transport. You come to the camp at Zemo Amirni yourselves, and it is an easy drive up the Georgian Military Highway. Any taxi or Kazbegi-bound tour can drop you at our banner on the road.
How much does rafting cost?

When is the rafting season and the best time to come?
We run from spring to autumn. May and June bring higher, livelier water from snowmelt, July and August are warm and perfect for families and first-timers, and early autumn is quiet and beautiful.
Can I film my rafting trip?
Yes. Rent a GoPro from us at the camp, film your whole run, and keep the footage. It beats risking your own phone in the rapids.
